Staff Nurse - Urology Investigations Unit

We are seeking a initiative-taking and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team within the Urology Investigations Unit to cover maternity leave for 12 months.

About the Urology Investigations Unit

The Urology Investigations Unit is an outpatient unit that provides a range of urology services including outpatient clinics, investigations, and day case procedures and treatments.

Specialist training courses are available in order to improve staff awareness and knowledge in the specialist area.

Our patients are central to everything we do; our nurses provide high standards of care with commitment, compassion, and competence.

Role Responsibilities

The post holder will be involved in the planning and implementing of outpatient care for patients alongside a team of medical staff, specialist nurses, and healthcare assistants.

Training and Development

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:

  • Explore leadership within the NHS
  • Promote Trust Values and Behaviours
  • Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
  • Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead, and complete quality improvement within your role
