Our secure unit provides a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals with complex needs.
Role Description
As a staff nurse here, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high quality, compassionate care, working collaboratively with the MDT in implementation of personalized treatment plans. Support patients in a holistic manner on their recovery journey, use your clinical expertise to contribute to a therapeutic environment and champion compassionate patient-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality evidence-based nursing advice, support, and care for service users with mental and physical health needs and to their carers within a multidisciplinary setting.
- Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Have a working knowledge of local, national policies, and legislation which govern current service provision.
- Identify and contribute to the training needs of junior registered and unregistered staff.
- Ensure that issues of equality, diversity, and rights are dealt with in accordance with good practice and legislation.
- Ensure that effective communication pathways exist and act within their sphere of responsibility, managing the shift in the absence of the Ward Manager or the designated deputy.
