We design Spotify’s consumer experience end to end, moment to moment, across every screen, platform, and partner integration. Our mission is to make listening feel effortless, personal, and joyful for billions of users around the world. That means turning complexity into clarity across hundreds of touchpoints, from our mobile and desktop apps to the smart speakers, TVs, cars, and integrations where Spotify shows up every day. If it touches a consumer, we shape it. We bring deep insight into human behavior, design, and technology to craft experiences that feel intuitive, expressive, and unmistakably Spotify.

Spotify's Core Experience (CoreX) team is shaping how listeners interact with Spotify through conversation, voice, and AI-powered experiences. We're building new ways for Premium subscribers to discover content, create playlists, control playback, and explore what they're listening to, using natural language.

We're looking for a Staff Product Designer to help shape the future of these experiences. You'll lead the design direction for our conversational agent while staying close to the craft, designing and prototyping experiences that make AI feel useful, intuitive, and trustworthy. Working with product, engineering, machine learning, and design partners, you'll help create experiences that bring listeners closer to the audio and creators they love.

What You'll Do

  • Shape the experience strategy for Spotify's conversational agent, partnering with product, engineering, and data teams to create a shared design direction across multiple teams.
  • Lead end-to-end product design for the core chat experience, from early exploration and prototyping through testing, refinement, and delivery.
  • Define how conversational interactions work across Spotify, including when the agent responds, asks questions, offers choices, or helps listeners take action.
  • Explore how conversation fits alongside familiar browsing and playback experiences across Home, Now Playing, and other key Spotify surfaces.
  • Design intuitive voice and text interactions that support different listening contexts, including hands-free experiences, headphones, connected devices, and in-car listening.
  • Create reusable interaction patterns and design guidance that help other teams bring conversational and AI-powered capabilities into their products.
  • Partner with research, data science, and conversation design teams to evaluate experiences, understand listener behavior, and improve the product through evidence and experimentation.
  • Build interactive prototypes to explore ideas, test assumptions, and make complex AI behaviors easier to understand and evaluate.
  • Support and mentor designers across the program, share knowledge, and help teams make thoughtful design decisions that balance user needs, technical possibilities, and business goals.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
