Staff Product Designer, Growth
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Designer, Growth based in United Kingdom.
This is a high-impact design leadership opportunity focused on shaping growth experiences for a global B2B SaaS product used by millions of people.
You will own the design strategy across activation, feature discovery, engagement, habit formation, and expansion.
The role combines strategic product thinking, hands-on design, experimentation, and a strong understanding of user behavior.
You will explore how AI can accelerate the journey from first interaction to meaningful product value and long-term engagement.
Working closely with Product and Engineering, you will tackle complex challenges involving AI quality, discoverability, usability, and growth.
You will operate with significant autonomy, treating the growth experience like an entrepreneurial venture within a larger organization.
As a Staff-level leader, you will also elevate design quality, mentor designers, and help shape systems, tools, and practices across the product organization.
Accountabilities
- Own the end-to-end design strategy across activation, onboarding, feature discovery, engagement, habit formation, and expansion experiences.
- Identify the highest-impact opportunities throughout the user journey and build compelling cases for prioritizing them.
- Lead experimentation and iterative design initiatives that help users reach meaningful product value faster while generating measurable business outcomes.
- Explore and apply generative AI to create more personalized, intuitive, and effective activation and engagement experiences at scale.
- Approach complex and ambiguous problems with an entrepreneurial mindset, developing lean experiments and taking ownership from concept through execution and measurement.
- Apply a strong understanding of competitive products and market trends to develop differentiated, best-in-class experiences while maintaining simplicity and usability.
- Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to solve complex design and technical challenges related to AI, discoverability, onboarding, and sustained engagement.
- Champion design excellence by mentoring other designers, contributing to design systems, and helping evolve internal design tools and practices.

Requirements
- 10+ years of professional product design experience, ideally within B2B SaaS, AI, or similarly complex digital product environments.
- 2–3+ years operating at Staff, Principal, or equivalent senior design leadership level, with demonstrated ownership of complex, high-impact initiatives.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated user-centered product design, strategic thinking, and measurable impact on both user experience and business outcomes.
- Deep knowledge of AI concepts, AI-powered design tools, and emerging approaches to incorporating AI into product development and user experiences.
- Proven experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, UX, and other cross-functional partners to deliver scalable growth-oriented experiences.
- Strong command of UX practices, information architecture, user-centered design methodologies, and product experimentation.
- Strong understanding of growth, lifecycle, activation, onboarding, or experimentation-focused product design is highly valued.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale, influence stakeholders, and build alignment across diverse teams.
- A proactive, adaptable, and autonomous working style, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and make informed decisions independently.
- Experience with growth experimentation platforms or lifecycle design tools is a strong advantage.
