Albany Growth are partnered with a fast scaling HealthTech company building software used daily by frontline NHS staff - helping GPs, nurses, doctors and other specialists do their jobs easier and faster, ultimately benefitting the wider public and reducing wait times. This business offers genuine flexibility if you want to work 5, 4 or 3 days a week (they already have people doing this and it works).
Their platform is already live across multiple NHS customers, with strong demand and a growing pipeline - they're now hiring a Staff Product Engineer as a key addition to their engineering team.

What you'll be doing:
- Owning and developing core product areas end-to-end
- Writing production code daily in a complex, regulated environment
- Working closely with Product to shape clinical workflows that real clinicians use
- Solving challenging problems around security, performance and scalability
- Applying patterns like CQRS and DDD across a modern, well maintained codebase
- Keeping the codebase clean - no legacy debt tolerated here
We're looking for:
- 7+ years in full stack development delivering complex enterprise applications
- Strong experience in PHP or even Java, Python, or C# (cross-training into the PHP stack supported)
- Comfortable owning problems E2E with minimal direction
- Solid understanding of databases and performance trade-offs at scale
- Experience in regulated or operationally complex environments is a plus
- Engineers who care about outcomes, not just closing tickets
