Job Description
Join Nous as a Staff Product Engineer to lead high-leverage technical bets that scale our household AI agent. You will design core primitives, mentor senior engineers, and ship production-ready code daily. This hands-on IC role bridges product strategy and deep engineering, directly influencing the direction of a B Corp serving 100,000+ households.

What You Will Do
- Own 2–3 high-leverage company bets annually, turning fuzzy product problems into clear technical plans and shipping end-to-end slices every two weeks.
- Architect and evolve core patterns using TypeScript, Temporal, and AI, creating stable libraries that allow the team to expand service lines in minutes.
- Act as a technical multiplier by mentoring emerging leads, conducting high-impact code reviews, and embedding with squads to unblock complex cross-system issues.
The ideal candidate
- You have extensive experience as a hands-on product engineer, with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives that move core business metrics.
- You possess deep expertise in modern stacks (TypeScript, React, Node) and distributed systems, specifically focusing on reliability, observability, and long-running workflows.
- You are a systems thinker who enjoys building developer primitives while maintaining an obsession with user experience and the impact of every line of code.
