Staff Software Engineer
Fanvue is one of the fastest-growing creator monetisation platforms globally. We're an AI-powered, creator-first platform helping creators connect, engage, and earn directly from their audiences at scale. Following our recent Series A, Fanvue has surpassed $200M+ in annual recurring revenue, with triple-digit year-on-year growth, supporting hundreds of thousands of creators and millions of fans worldwide.
We're hiring a Staff Software Engineer who thinks like a product owner and builds like a senior engineer. This is a role for someone who has shipped product that millions of people use, owned features from the first sketch to the metrics review, and knows when to move fast and when to build for the long run. You'll work across the stack, shape what we build as much as how we build it, and set the bar for product engineering at Fanvue. AI is transforming how we build software and what our product can do, and you'll be at the centre of both.
£150,000 Salary based on London. Other locations may vary.
The Role
You'll own product areas end to end, working directly with product, design and data to decide what to build, then shipping it to creators and fans at speed. Our stack is TypeScript, React, Node.js and PostgreSQL on AWS. You'll lead the technical direction for major product bets, build AI-powered features that change how creators run their business, and make sure the platform underneath them scales as we grow. Beyond shipping, you'll be a bar raiser and mentor, and your presence will make every engineer around you more product-minded.
What You'll Do
- Own major product areas end to end, from discovery and scoping through to launch, iteration and measuring impact
- Partner with product managers and designers to shape the roadmap, challenge assumptions and find the simplest path to value
- Build full-stack features in TypeScript, React and Node.js, designing the APIs and data models behind them
- Ship AI-powered product experiences for creators and fans, including automated chat, content tools, moderation and recommendations
- Run experiments, read the data and use what you learn to decide what to build next
- Make pragmatic architecture calls that let us ship fast today without boxing us in tomorrow
- Build reusable product primitives and patterns that help other teams ship faster
- Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate delivery and help define team standards
- Mentor engineers across the organisation through code reviews, design sessions and pairing, with a focus on product thinking
- Talk to creators, review support feedback and stay close to the people using what you build
- Participate in incident response and own the quality and reliability of your product areas

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Experience building with LLM APIs and AI-powered features in production
- Fluent with AI-assisted development tools and keen to help teams adopt them effectively
- A natural mentor who elevates other engineers through example, not authority
