The role
Imagine an agent that doesn't just compare household services, but actively manages and switches them on behalf of millions. As a Staff Product Engineer, you'll have end-to-end ownership and high agency across the most impactful parts of the codebase. This isn't a role where you just build features from a perfect spec; you'll operate in two distinct modes. Sometimes you'll build direct product — new service lines or core improvements — moving fast from a rough plan. Other times, you'll build the multiplier: the guardrails and internal tooling that empower non-engineers to ship safely. Both are hard engineering problems, and both directly feed into the company's mission.

The work
- Build and launch new agentic service lines, from initial concept to live deployment.
- Design and implement core product improvements, often working with one or two other engineers.
- Develop internal tooling and 'guardrails' that enable non-engineers to ship product changes independently.
- Tackle complex challenges in long-running workflow orchestration, retries, and integrations with external systems.
- Iterate rapidly on product experiments, using data to prove impact and inform future direction.
What You Bring
- At least 2 years of professional engineering experience, with a clear desire for breadth over deep specialization.
- Proven ability to own problems end-to-end, from fuzzy requirements to shipped solutions and impact measurement.
- Strong full-stack proficiency in TypeScript and React, comfortable with distributed systems challenges like partial failure and external integrations.
- A product-first mindset: you care deeply about user flow, UX, and the impact of small details like copy.
- A track record of building leverage for others, whether through pairing, clear explanations, or impactful internal tools.
