Dex is an AI recruiter agent that helps you run your job search. Tell Dex your stack, seniority, and what you want to build. We will manage your applications and surface other opportunities that are a fit.
The role
This company builds the AI incident response platform for engineers who get paged at 3 am. They unify on-call, incident response, AI SRE, and status pages into a single product. Since launching, they've helped hundreds of leading companies run over half a million incidents, with tens of thousands of responders relying on the platform under pressure.
This isn't a ticket-taker role. You'll join a rapidly expanding product surface, taking end-to-end ownership from idea to shipped feature. Expect to identify the right problems, engage directly with customers to pressure-test your understanding, and make sharp trade-offs between speed and depth. The team works with Go, TypeScript/React, and Postgres on GCP, but your judgment — knowing when to ship at 70% and when to invest in resilience — is the harder skill here.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The work
- Take end-to-end ownership of features: from initial design and planning through to implementation, testing, and delivery.
- Identify the right problems to solve, rather than just building what's handed to you.
- Engage directly with customers to pressure-test your understanding of their pain points.
- Make sharp trade-offs between shipping speed and investing in long-term resilience.
- Set a high bar for engineering quality: well-written proposals, clear commit messages, and thorough testing.
What You Bring
- You've built and shipped production-ready applications in Go, Python, Ruby on Rails, or React, and can hold your own in any of those stacks.
- You are product-minded: you talk to customers, prioritise outcomes over output, and have a track record of choosing the right thing to build.
- You thrive in ambiguity: you share work-in-progress at 70% to gather feedback, adapt quickly, and actively shape product direction.
- You manage technical debt pragmatically, knowing when resilience, testing, and documentation matter, and when shipping speed is the right call.
- You set a high bar for the engineers around you: clear writing, sound decisions, actionable feedback, and a real interest in levelling up the team.
