Cirrus Logic is looking for a skilled Staff Product Test Engineer to contribute to our global success story at our state-of-the-art Edinburgh office. Operating in the UK, using excellent technical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, you will have the opportunity to develop new test techniques and methodologies to test, characterise and qualify our ICs. You will also be given the chance to share your knowledge and support the development of more junior members of the team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design innovative multi-sites hardware and software solutions to achieve low test time and minimise production costs
  • Optimise and monitor production yield
  • Develop robust and precise ATE Characterisation and Qualification solutions
  • Collaborate with IC design engineers to define test methodologies and lead Design for Test initiatives pre-silicon
  • Drive continuous improvement across the organisation

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (or related fields) and proven professional experience in mixed-signal test engineering.
  • Strong expertise in semiconductor testing and development on IC production automated test equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of PCB layout and schematic design
  • Hands-on experience with a wide range of bench equipment
  • Deep understanding of analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronics; interest in audio engineering is a plus
  • Experience working in a commercially driven organisation within a product development environment
  • Excellent time management skills, able to plan and manage workload effectively and work to tight, varying timescales

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Development experience on Teradyne UltraFLEXplus or other IG-XL platforms
  • Programming skills in Python and Visual Basic
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools, such as JMP or Spotfire
  • Experience with PCB schematics design software (Cadence Allegro, Altium)
  • Understanding of audio and/or power management test techniques
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

This position is based in our Edinburgh office, UK. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with Cirrus Logic.
