Job Description Summary

Full time (36 hrs/wk), Day shift (7a-7p)

Job Responsibilities

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in perioperative and operating room settings.

  • Accountability: The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Delegation: The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
  • Nursing Care: According to department policies and nursing care standards, provides professional nursing care services to patients.
  • Assessment/Diagnosis: Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual.
  • Outcomes Identification/Planning: Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
  • Implementation/Evaluation: Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data.
  • Leadership: Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Operations: Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's Degree: Nursing (Required)BTLS - Basic Trauma Life Support - American Heart Association, CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - American Red Cross, RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
  • License: Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio
  • Certification: BLS certification
