They've recently raised significant investment, have a very strong engineering culture, and are building products where performance, data, and AI genuinely matter.
Engineers have real ownership, work closely with product, and solve technically challenging problems with a direct impact on customers.

ROLE: Staff Software Engineer (Software Engineering, Technical Leadership, Mentoring, Architecture Ownership)
We’re seeking a Staff Back End Engineer who can drive backend strategy, guide technical decisions, and elevate engineering standards across key product areas.
This is a senior engineering role - ideal for someone who wants ownership and architectural influence.
You’ll define technical vision, lead critical backend projects, and act as a trusted engineering voice in product and platform discussions - shaping everything from API design and system architecture to performance, resilience, and scalability.
What You’ll Bring
- 🔥 Expert-level Java/ Kotlin/ Python/ Typescript engineering skills - clean, scalable, production-grade code
- ⚙️ Strong experience building and designing APIs (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC)
- 🔧 Hands-on architectural depth - Microservices, distributed systems, event-driven patterns
- ☁️ Cloud expertise (AWS preferred) - Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, API Gateway
- 🚀 Proven track record delivering high-scale backend systems
- 📈 Experience leading engineers - mentoring, technical direction, code standards
- 🗣️ Excellent communicator with the ability to influence product and technical strategy
- 🤓 Passion for robust engineering - testing, observability, optimisation, performance
