Staff Full Stack Developer – TypeScript / AWS
📍 London – 1 day a week onsite
⏰ 6-month contract, likely extension
💸 Up to £625 p/d (Inside IR35)
A well-established organisation is looking for a Staff Full Stack Developer to join its engineering team and contribute to the development of a large-scale digital platform.
This is a senior technical role for someone who enjoys staying hands-on while also having influence over architecture, engineering practices, and technical direction.
The role will involve:
- TypeScript, React, and modern web technologies
- Scala across the backend
- AWS and cloud-based services
- Developing and improving large-scale web applications
- Making architectural and technical decisions
- Contributing to engineering standards and best practices
- Translating product requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Working closely with engineering and product stakeholders
- Supporting and mentoring other engineers
- Considering security, performance, and scalability

What we're looking for
- 10+ years' experience working with web technologies
- Experience working on large-scale digital platforms
- Strong TypeScript experience
- Commercial AWS experience
- Scala experience is beneficial but not essential
- Experience making architectural and technical decisions
- Good understanding of web security best practices
- Comfortable working across technical and product discussions
- Experience operating at Staff, Principal, or similar senior engineering level
