This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Software Engineer (AI CICD) based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of secure software delivery by building innovative products at the intersection of artificial intelligence and software supply chain security.
You will join a highly technical team focused on creating tools that improve how developers build, secure, and deploy modern applications.
The position combines deep engineering expertise with product ownership, allowing you to influence architecture, technical direction, and customer-facing experiences.
You will work on impactful initiatives involving AI-powered developer tools, CI/CD security, containers, and cloud-native technologies.
The role requires strong ownership, the ability to solve ambiguous challenges, and a passion for creating scalable solutions.

Accountabilities:
- As a Staff Software Engineer, you will take ownership of complex engineering initiatives, driving the design, development, and delivery of secure software solutions while collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
- Own product features end-to-end, from technical design and implementation through rollout, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Design and build next-generation developer tools focused on software supply chain security and AI-powered workflows.
- Extend AI capabilities into customer-facing product experiences across the broader product ecosystem.
- Make key architectural decisions and contribute a strong technical perspective to engineering discussions.
- Navigate complex and ambiguous technical challenges by defining clear solutions and execution paths.
- Collaborate closely with Product and frontend teams to deliver user-focused, high-impact features.
- Contribute to roadmap planning by helping prioritize technical trade-offs and delivering iterative improvements.
- Build and maintain secure CI/CD systems, container-based workflows, and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Promote engineering excellence through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and best practices.
- Help establish scalable patterns and processes that support future product growth.

Requirements:
- The ideal candidate is a highly experienced software engineer with strong expertise in cloud-native development, CI/CD security, and modern software engineering practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software development and delivering production-grade systems.
- Strong expertise with containers, artifact registries, Docker, Kubernetes, and related cloud-native technologies.
- Proven experience designing, building, and securing CI/CD systems.
- Strong programming experience with Go (Golang) or the ability to quickly become proficient.
- Experience working with AI tools and enthusiasm for applying AI to solve complex engineering problems.
- Ability to independently drive projects, make technical decisions, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with Product teams and customers.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to seek support when needed and take ownership of outcomes.
