Staff Software Engineer | Cybersecurity Start-Up | London

Staff Software Engineer required to join a fast-growing cybersecurity start-up in London, building technology to solve some of the most challenging problems in modern security.

Built by an experienced founding team with a strong track record of building and scaling successful cybersecurity companies, this is an opportunity to join a high-calibre engineering team where you’ll have genuine influence over the architecture, technical direction, and engineering culture.

What you’ll do

  • Remain highly hands-on, designing, building, and shipping complex production systems
  • Own some of the hardest technical problems across the platform
  • Influence architecture, system design, and technical direction
  • Raise engineering standards and provide technical leadership through your work
  • Mentor and support junior engineers

About you

  • Extensive professional Software Engineering experience, operating at Senior, Principal, or Staff level
  • Strong in one or more of Python, Go, Java or C#
  • Excellent system design, architecture, and software engineering fundamentals
  • Experience building and scaling complex, production-grade systems
  • Comfortable taking ownership of ambiguous technical problems from concept through to production
  • A strong communicator who can influence technical decisions while remaining an individual contributor
  • Someone who wants broader technical influence while remaining a hands-on IC

Bonus points

  • Previous start-up or scale-up experience
  • Experience within cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, or distributed systems
  • Experience helping engineering teams establish technical standards and best practices
