I'm working with a venture-backed AI startup that's building technology capable of processing and analysing huge volumes of real-time video and security data. Following significant growth, they're looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to help scale the infrastructure powering the platform.
This isn't a role where you'll inherit legacy systems, you'll be instrumental in defining how the platform evolves as the company enters its next phase.
What you'll be working on:
- π Designing and scaling distributed backend systems
- β‘ Building resilient, high-performance data infrastructure
- π Optimising databases, streaming pipelines, queues and caching
- π οΈ Improving platform reliability, observability and performance
- π€ Partnering with engineering leadership to shape technical strategy

- 9+ years building scalable backend or platform infrastructure
- Experience working on high-throughput, data-intensive systems
