About the Role
The Staff Product Marketing Engineer is responsible for defining, driving, and owning ADI’s system-level strategy for one or more Communications applications. This role sits at the intersection of market insight, system architecture, and commercial execution. You will act as the “system owner” for your application, translating customer pain points and market trends into clear strategies, roadmaps, positioning, and revenue impact.
You will partner closely with systems technologists, product lines, market analysts, and regional sales teams to shape ADI’s system solutions, accelerate growth, and establish ADI as a complete solution provider in Communications infrastructure.
This is a senior, visible role that influences product direction, ecosystem strategy, and long-term investment priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- System & Market Ownership
- Become the ADI Application expert for a designated Communications application (e.g., Macro Radio, Small Cell, Satcom, LMR, etc.)
- Develop deep application-level insight by working with systems technologists, product line experts, and customers.
- Map the ecosystem: OEMs, operators, partners, competitors, and solution stacks.
- Develop deep market and system insights that shape strategic decisions
- Define and own the market strategy for your assigned system(s)
- Translate customer needs into clear system roadmaps and product investment priorities
- Drive “system solution” positioning rather than component-level selling

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
