Staff Technical Lead Manager, Identity Engine

LiveRamp is the data collaboration platform of choice for the world’s most innovative companies. A groundbreaking leader in consumer privacy, data ethics, and foundational identity, LiveRamp is setting the new standard for building a connected customer view with unmatched clarity and context while protecting precious brand and consumer trust. LiveRamp offers complete flexibility to collaborate wherever data lives to support the widest range of data collaboration use cases—within organizations, between brands, and across its premier global network of top-quality partners.

Hundreds of global innovators, from iconic consumer brands and tech giants to banks, retailers, and healthcare leaders turn to LiveRamp to build enduring brand and business value by deepening customer engagement and loyalty, activating new partnerships, and maximizing the value of their first-party data while staying on the forefront of rapidly evolving compliance and privacy requirements.

Role Summary

As the Technical Lead and People Manager for the Identity Engine team, you will be at the forefront of developing LiveRamp's first-party identity resolution platform. Identity Engine allows customers to configure their own resolution rules and workflows against their first-party data, unifying disparate sources into a persistent, customer-specific identifier — either as a configuration and recognition layer on top of LiveRamp's AbiliTec Identity Graph, or standalone to build an independent first-party graph. You will lead the team responsible for the platform's backend, orchestrating large-scale, configuration-driven resolution jobs across GCP and AWS, and helping enterprise clients build and activate a first-party identity graph in hours rather than months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the Identity Engine team, ensuring alignment with LiveRamp's overall engineering and product goals.
  • Lead a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day execution and delivery of Identity Engine's data preparation, resolution, and export capabilities, ensuring operational excellence and quality at scale.
  • Anticipate and resolve complex issues and conflicts that extend beyond the team's direct area of responsibility.
  • Hold other teams accountable for quality and timely delivery when dependencies exist.
  • Actively engage in long-term (12-month) Product planning and priority setting, helping to define the strategic roadmap for Identity Engine.
  • Be the primary technical liaison for Product Management, ensuring technical feasibility and strategic alignment of product initiatives.
  • Help identify, develop, and hire strategic skills to enhance the overall capabilities of the LiveRamp engineering organization.
  • Maintain a significant individual contributor (IC) component (approximately 50% of time), focusing on complex technical challenges, architecture, and code quality reviews.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
