🚨 STAFF / PRINCIPAL DATA ENGINEER | £220K + EQUITY
Oliver Bernard are currently partnered with one of the most exciting stealth start-ups in London, building the infrastructure behind the next generation of AI. 🧠
This is a genuine Staff / Principal opportunity for someone who wants to shape architecture, set technical direction and remain deeply hands-on.
You’ll be joining early to:
- Own the technical direction of core data infrastructure
- Design and build scalable data platforms from the ground up
- Solve complex problems around scale, reliability, security & cost
- Influence engineers and raise the technical bar
- Stay hands-on with code and production systems
- Work across Data, Platform, Software & AI

You could be a great fit if you have:
- Deep Software & Data Engineering fundamentals
- A track record owning complex production systems end-to-end
- Experience shaping architecture across multiple systems
- Strong distributed systems & large-scale data experience
- Excellent technical judgement and architectural instincts
- Experience leading major technical initiatives as an IC
- AI/ML experience is a bonus, not essential
