Role Description
This is a contract, on-site Stainless Steel Pipe Welder role located in Sudbury and other areas around East Anglia. The Stainless Steel Pipe Welder will fabricate, fit, and weld stainless steel piping systems using appropriate welding processes, ensuring joints meet required specifications and safety standards. Daily tasks include interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, preparing materials, setting up welding equipment, and performing quality checks on completed welds. The role also involves collaborating with other team members on installations, following site safety procedures, maintaining tools and equipment, and documenting work as required for project records.

Qualifications

- Strong welding skills, including Welding, TIG with proven experience on stainless steel pipe.
- Proficiency in Arc Welding and understanding of Materials relevant to stainless steel fabrication and pipe systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices, PPE use, and safe operation of welding and cutting equipment.
- Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship in welding or metal fabrication; additional welding tickets are an asset.
- Previous experience in pipe fitting or industrial construction environments is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, reliable work habits, and ability to work effectively in an on-site team setting.
- IPAF, PASMA, FLT, and Confined space would be beneficial for ongoing contracts.
