About us
Simply Stairlifts is an independent, family-run stairlift company based in Malmesbury, with 80+ five-star Google reviews. We help people with mobility challenges stay safe, confident and independent in their own homes.
Many of our clients are elderly or vulnerable, so how we treat them matters as much as the work itself. As we grow, we're looking for an engineer to join our small, close-knit team.
What you'll be doing
- Installing, servicing and repairing straight and curved stairlifts from brands such as Access, Handicare, Stannah, Acorn, Otolift and Platinum Ergo.
- Finding and fixing faults calmly and efficiently, so no client is left stranded.
- Showing clients and their families how to use their new lift, patiently, until they feel completely safe and confident.
- Representing Simply Stairlifts on every visit and leaving every home as tidy as you found it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
