Stakeholder Communications Associate Manager x 2

Salary: Circa £48,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience

Job Type:

  • 1 x Permanent, Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
  • 1 x 12 Months Fixed-Term Contract, Part-Time 30 hours per week

Location: IB (International Baccalaureate®) Global Centre, Cardiff

Hybrid working opportunity, office presence required one day per week

About the Role

The Stakeholder Communications Associate Manager develops and delivers global school communications that support major organisational priorities, curriculum and assessment developments, programme implementation and change. Reporting to the Head of Stakeholder Communications, the role acts as a trusted communications partner to senior leaders, translating complex information into clear, timely and audience-focused communications that strengthen stakeholder understanding, confidence and engagement across the IB's global school community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the IB's global school communications strategy, aligning school-facing activity with organisational priorities and stakeholder needs.
  • Advise senior leaders on communications planning, stakeholder impacts, emerging issues and reputational risk.
  • Lead communications for curriculum reviews, programme developments, assessment transformation and educational innovation.
  • Develop integrated communications strategies and implementation plans for complex, cross functional change initiatives.
  • Translate complex policy, programme and organisational information into clear, timely and relevant communications for schools and educators.
  • Coordinate messaging and communications activity across functions, regions and workstreams to deliver a consistent stakeholder experience.
  • Oversee the strategic direction of newsletters, email campaigns, digital content and school engagement activity.
  • Use audience insight, analytics and feedback to refine communications, customer journeys and engagement approaches.
  • Identify communications risks and develop proportionate mitigation and response plans for sensitive issues and reputational challenges.
  • Define measures of success and evaluate communications outcomes to demonstrate impact and support continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

About You

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Similar Communications experience gained from a role requiring a large degree of internal and external stakeholder management, ideally within an international setting.
  • Excellent rapport building skills with the ability to listen and build trust whilst to then consult and push-back during conversations with internal and external stakeholders if required for the success of the task.
  • Strong experience developing and delivering communications for organisational change, transformation or complex programmes.
  • Proven experience advising senior leaders and influencing stakeholders in a complex, matrix environment.
  • Experience developing audience-focused communications strategies within an international or multi-stakeholder organisation.
  • Strong understanding of change communications, stakeholder engagement, reputation and communications risk.
  • Experience using insight, analytics and evaluation measures to assess communications effectiveness and improve outcomes.
  • Native (or near-perfect) English writing and editing skills is essential. Other language skills (especially French and Spanish) will be a distinct advantage.
  • Able to show an understanding of the nature of providing content to a Global Community like our IB schools.
