The Job

The Nightshift Standard Operator will work as part of the Operations team to support the efficient running of the nightshift team, ensuring a range of products (loan kits and standard products) are sorted, checked, processed and placed into stock or ready for inspection and on time. The role requires a consistent focus on quality, compliance, service delivery and the best patient outcome.

The role will support operational continuity between day and night teams, ensuring work is completed to agreed standards and that any issues, exceptions or improvement opportunities are communicated clearly to the relevant team leaders and managers.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Unpack, check and receipt product into physical warehouse locations using scanners and relevant systems.
  • Process returned loan kits from customers in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Support the processing of repairs from customers.
  • Perform inventory counts, cycle counts and stock checks to support inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate system transactions and ensure all product movements are recorded correctly.
  • Support night shift workload planning by prioritising tasks according to customer needs, operational deadlines and quality requirements.
  • Identify and escalate stock discrepancies, damaged products, system issues or process concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in line with housekeeping standards.
  • Work collaboratively with day shift and wider Operations teams to support smooth handovers and continuous improvement.

Quality, Environment, Health and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with Arthrex quality systems, warehouse processes and relevant business controls.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures and safe working practices.
  • Support environmental systems and sustainability requirements, including correct waste handling and recycling processes.
  • Ensure housekeeping audits and workplace standards are maintained.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and escalate any non-conformance, safety risk or process deviation.
  • Exhibit the Arthrex values in all activities and interactions.

The Successful Candidate

  • Comfortable learning Arthrex products, systems and warehouse processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good computer literacy, including confidence with email, spreadsheets and file management.
  • SAP experience is desirable.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet customer and operational needs.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support continuous improvement.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to complete clear handovers.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually when required.
  • Reliable, proactive and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week on a night shift pattern, Monday to Friday, subject to business requirements and rota arrangements. The role includes a 30-minute unpaid break and two 15-minute paid breaks per shift. Shift pattern is a rotating shift Sunday to Thursday week one 8:00PM to 4:30AM, week two 10:00PM to 6:30AM.
