Starbucks Store Manager: Own the Business
Let's cut right to the chase. Being the driving force of a high-volume Starbucks within a bustling hotel takes serious commercial sharpness and relentless energy. If your grand plan is to delegate from a cosy office while the queue snakes out the door, look away now. We need an entrepreneurial leader who treats the store as their own business and leads from the absolute front.
At Village, we partner with Starbucks to create high-energy, brilliant spaces. As the Store Manager, you are at the helm. We need someone who can blend that iconic Starbucks culture with our signature Village warmth, driving serious profitability while looking after the people who make it happen.
The Reality of the Role
This is where ultimate accountability meets hands-on leadership. You are the key decision-maker. You will be analysing the data, forecasting labour, and understanding the local market to push your business forward. But you will also be right there on the floor, setting the standard, and ensuring every shift is covered flawlessly by a team you have hand-picked and trained. Hospitality is a lifestyle, so you will need to be flexible with early starts, evenings, and weekends to truly know your business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
