We are searching for the best talent for an expert Start-Up Senior Trial Manager, Early Development (ED) to support ED clinical trials in the UK, with hybrid responsibilities split across trial management and Study Start-Up Unit (SSU) activities. As the business grows the expectation is the position shifts further towards the SSU within the ED environment. This is a hybrid, office-based role located High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, UK with a planned move to Maidenhead in October 2026, requiring three days on-site each week.

Purpose

The role serves as the primary country-level contact for assigned studies, delivering high-quality trial data, documentation and records in line with clinical protocols, ICH/GCP, Healthcare Compliance requirements, SOPs, and UK regulatory and ethical standards.

The successful candidate combines strong trial management experience with UK study start-up expertise, supporting studies from feasibility and start-up through trial conduct, database lock and close-out, as applicable. Working closely with study teams, sites, vendors and collaborators, you'll help ensure studies are delivered efficiently, compliantly and on time.

The role provides country-level oversight of assigned ED&CP studies, including local trial team coordination, site oversight, monitoring report review, issue and CAPA management, recruitment and data quality follow-up, and use of study systems and performance metrics to track progress.

The role also supports UK study start-up activities, including regulatory and ethics submissions, document readiness, approval tracking, partner coordination and management of start-up risks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
