The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an electrically qualified Multi-Skilled Engineer to join one of the world's largest and most established commercial real estate and facilities management organisations.
You'll be working on a prestigious global corporate account, based permanently at a high-quality office environment in the heart of Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity if you're currently working as an Electrical Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Building Services Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Resident Engineer and want to move away from mobile work into a static, Monday–Friday position.
The site has undergone a relatively recent major fit-out, meaning you'll be working within a modern corporate environment with well-maintained building services and equipment.
What Will You Be Doing?
This isn't a role where you'll spend all day carrying out electrical installation work. Your electrical qualification is important, but the position itself is a genuinely varied building services and facilities maintenance role, including:
- Planned and reactive M&E maintenance
- Electrical fault finding and minor electrical works
- PPMs and statutory compliance
- General building fabric maintenance
- Basic plumbing and mechanical tasks
- BMS and lighting control systems
- Emergency lighting and general electrical maintenance
- Plant and equipment checks
- Basic HVAC / air handling maintenance
- Managing specialist subcontractors
- Reviewing RAMS and managing permits
- Liaising with the landlord and client
- Supporting the wider workplace team where required

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'll essentially become the go-to engineer for the site, so we're looking for somebody who enjoys taking ownership rather than simply working through a list of PPMs. Specialist services are supported by external contractors, so you won't be expected to be an expert in everything. You'll instead coordinate contractors and ensure works are completed safely and correctly.
What Are We Looking For?
We're looking for someone with a good combination of electrical competency, general building maintenance experience and the right attitude.
You'll ideally have:
- Electrical qualification
- Current Wiring Regulations / 18th Edition
- Commercial building maintenance experience
- Planned and reactive maintenance experience
- General M&E knowledge
- Basic fabric and plumbing capability
- Good understanding of Health & Safety
- Experience with RAMS and permits
- Experience managing or supervising subcontractors
- BMS / HVAC exposure advantageous
- Previous Facilities Management experience advantageous
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
Most importantly, you'll need to be comfortable working independently and willing to get involved with whatever is required to keep the workplace running smoothly.
