Overview

Expleo UK are currently seeking a Static Stress Engineer to assist in the delivery of technical projects within our extremely busy Aerostructures Department.

You will be responsible for compiling, checking, and approving the delivery of Aerostructures engineering Static Stress analyses on time and to the highest quality. To achieve this, you will work in teams of Engineers to ensure the requirement is delivered on time and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the checking and approval of Static Stress analyses in terms of timescale, cost, and quality.
  • Working with the relevant stakeholders as appropriate, to report on the technical progress of tasks.
  • Checking and approval of technical deliverables to a high standard (e.g., reports, presentations, ECMs).
  • Coaching and mentoring more junior stress engineers.
  • Identification of potential variations to work scope, or rework at an early stage and escalation to the technical lead.
  • Ensure the adherence to the Company's Quality Assurance Policies in any work undertaken on the project.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar.

Essential skills

  • Static Stress Engineer, Static Stress Approval, Stress Analysis (Static, Patran, Nastran, Hypermesh).
  • Ability to Lead a team, both locally and Offshore.
  • Knowledge of Tools and Methods.
  • Ability to Communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to plan and cost.

Experience

  • Experience in Aerostructures Static Stress analysis experience.
