Train Station Cleaner
Optime Group are excited to be recruiting for Train Station Cleaner to join one of our well-respected and successful clients in Brighton. This job offers full time hours, overtime opportunities, and an immediate start. This is a very enjoyable role with a great company providing fantastic working conditions and facilities.
What’s on offer:
- Rate of Pay: £15.03 per hour.
- Shift Times: 06:00 to 14:00 (1h unpaid break)
- Shift Pattern: Sunday to Friday
- Location: Please see below under shifts/location.
- Weekly Pay: (every Friday)
- Full training provided.

Key Duties:
- Supervise and support the station cleaning team.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor completion.
- Maintain high cleaning and presentation standards.
- Carry out cleaning duties when required.
- Conduct routine quality and safety inspections.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
- Monitor cleaning supplies, PPE, and equipment.
- Report hazards, defects, and maintenance issues.
- Train and support new team members.
- Complete shift records and provide effective handovers.
- Liaise with station management and operational teams.
- Promote excellent teamwork and customer service.
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a station or transport environment.
- Previous supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Good attention to detail and high cleaning standards.
- Flexible to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Physically able to carry out cleaning duties.
- Right to work in the UK.
