Job Description
Ready to take ownership of commercial contracts that help power one of the UK's nuclear power stations? As a Contract Manager, you'll join the Supply Chain team at #Heysham 1 Power Station, taking responsibility for key commercial contracts that support safe and efficient station operations. You'll work across multiple business areas, helping to maximise supplier performance, identify efficiencies, and deliver value while supporting the UK's transition towards An Electric Britain.
Working full time on site at #Heysham 1 Power Station, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues across Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, Outage Management, and Quality Assurance. You'll also have the opportunity to lead contract negotiations, strengthen supplier partnerships, and contribute to the station's long-term operational ambitions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing the performance of key suppliers and contractors against contractual and operational requirements
- Building productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Identifying and delivering commercial efficiencies and service improvements across contracts
- Leading contract negotiations and resolving supplier issues, disputes, and escalations
- Supporting contract renewals, extensions, close-out activities, and future procurement activity

Who You Are
We're looking for a Contract Manager with strong commercial and supply chain experience who enjoys working in a complex operational environment and delivering value through effective contract management. Are you experienced in...?
- Holding a minimum HNC qualification in a business-related discipline
- Demonstrable experience working within supply chain environments and performing contract management responsibilities
- Managing commercial contracts and supplier performance
- Using Microsoft Office and SAP to support commercial and contract management activities
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
Pay, Benefits and Culture
We are offering a starting salary of between £64,261 and £84,595, with terms and conditions covered by the EDF Nuclear Generation Company Agreement. The starting salary for the appointment will be dependent on your existing salary, competence, experience, and qualifications.
