Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Stator Winder on a 6 month rolling contract based in Warwickshire.

Role Summary

We're recruiting experienced stator winders for a contract with a leading manufacturer of large electric motors and generators in Warwickshire. You'll be winding multi-MW HV machines used in energy, industrial and marine applications.

Responsibilities

  • Fitting slot liners and inserting form-wound coils
  • Wedging and packing
  • End-winding bracing and blocking
  • Brazing connections (induction and flame)
  • Connecting and cabling
  • Working to engineering drawings and quality procedures

Requirements

  • Proven stator winding experience on MV/HV motors or generators
  • Hands-on coil insertion, not just coil prep or taping
  • Brazing experience
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Good attention to detail and a safe way of working
  • VPI or HV testing experience
  • A background in a rewind shop or with an OEM
