About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Statutory Fundraising Manager to secure and grow income from public sector bodies, lottery funders and local government. This is a key role within the Fundraising team, responsible for:

  • Developing a strong pipeline of opportunities
  • Writing compelling funding proposals
  • Building trusted relationships that support BookTrust’s work with children and families

A significant focus of the role is coordinating BookTrust’s relationship with Arts Council England, one of the organisation’s most important strategic funders. The postholder will:

  • Undertake performance monitoring, compliance and reporting requirements
  • Ensure BookTrust continues to meet its funding commitments
  • Maintain strong alignment with Arts Council priorities and objectives

Working closely with senior colleagues across the organisation, they will help maximise the value of this partnership and identify opportunities to strengthen and develop the relationship over time.

Requirements

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Proven experience of securing statutory income
  • Ability to navigate complex funding environments
  • Skills in developing high-quality bids for significant opportunities
  • Confidence in relationship building
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
