Your role and responsibilities
As an Assistant Coordinator in the Annual Review Hub, a key part of your role will be to review and triage annual reviews, determining whether an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) should be maintained, amended, or ceased in line with our internal triage principles.
This will provide you with the opportunity to:
- Use your critical thinking and reflective practice skills to make informed decisions.
- Apply strong organisational skills to maintain accurate records and monitor outstanding reviews.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support positive outcomes for children and young people.
You will also coordinate annual reviews for children and young people who are not currently in a school setting. In this area of the role, you will:
- Build positive relationships through effective communication and partnership working.
- Gather and coordinate information from children and young people, families, and professionals to ensure reviews are comprehensive and person-centred.
- Contribute to achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people across Suffolk.
You will need
We are looking for someone who has:
- A Level 3 qualification or above, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn, develop, and build new skills.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload effectively.
- The ability to work accurately, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
You can view a full list of requirements in the Job and Person Profile (JPP), which you can find in the ‘How to apply’ section towards the bottom of this advert.
If you believe you can succeed in this role, apply. Even if you don't meet all requirements, still apply. We would appreciate the opportunity to consider your application.
The team
The Annual Review Team works alongside children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and their families, to coordinate and facilitate the review of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). We ensure that annual reviews are completed and processed efficiently, meeting all statutory requirements and deadlines to support positive outcomes for children and young people.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
