For future projects across UK, Ireland, Africa and APAC countries we are looking for Steam Turbine Technical Field Advisors.
Purpose
The purpose of this position is to deliver the project KPI’s for delivery, quality, safety, cost, and customer satisfaction through the servicing support of the Mechanical Installation scope of work and the detailed interface and support to the Mechanical Lead / Project Lead to ensure all project requirements are met. Provide recommendations to Mechanical Lead / Project Lead and assisting in the planning of workscope.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provision of technical expertise to service of the Mechanical scope / steam systems of work to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, or warranty of work.
- To plan and carry out the work in accordance with the program/schedule, execution plans, commissioning procedures, method statements, and work packs for the Mechanical scope of work / steam systems.
- To carry out Steam turbines equipment checks, verifications, and functionality as required.
- To carry out the works by system, as directed by the Project Lead, to meet the commissioning schedule and sequence.
- Train others in the proper, effective use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems and networks.
- Complete and provide all testing and verification documents to the Project Lead to support the client records.
- Provide direction and oversight regarding red line drawings and documentation for any changes or modifications.
- Understand all site work-related permits and works to identify any actions which may produce a violation of those permits.
- Provide detailed information to the Project Lead for the preparation of the required Daily and Weekly Project Reports.
- Provide information to the Project Lead to maintain a daily log of site significant activities.
- Address site startup risks that arise on the project as a result of the Mechanical Scope of work.
- Ensure that all work activities are completed in accordance with the Project Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental requirements as directed.

Key Attributes
- Exceptional knowledge of the detailed operation principles of the steam systems mechanical equipment and control systems of the associated equipment, processes, and systems.
- Exceptional ability to carry out initial motor checks and operations, MOV initial operations, set-up & calibrations, testing functionality, troubleshooting, and rectifications quickly and accurately specific to manufacturer and scope of work.
- To work as part of a team that collectively will carry out the mechanical works associated with the common goal.
- Ability to follow instruction and thereafter, to use own initiative to complete required tasks.
- Effective communicator.

- Strong problem-solving and critical analysis skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication at all levels.
