Steel Fabricator/ Welder Job Advert – Full Time, Permanent

Due to two upcoming retirements, we are currently seeking an experienced coded Welder/Fabricator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will be a part of a team of Welders/ Fabricators, delivering high-quality steel structures across a variety of projects throughout Scotland.

We’re looking for a fully qualified and experienced coded Welder/Fabricator with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Fabricate and weld steel components accurately and efficiently, working from engineering drawings, specifications and job requirements.
  • Accurately measure, mark out and set steelwork, working to close tolerances.
  • Carry out MIG welding to a consistently high standard, producing clean, strong welds with minimal defects and weld spatter.
  • Use a range of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Inspect your own work to ensure it meets the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Complete relevant Quality Assurance records and documentation.
  • Safely move and position steelwork within the workshop using overhead cranes.
  • Carry out daily inspections of plant, machinery and equipment, reporting any defects or issues promptly to management.
  • Keep tools, equipment and machinery in good working order.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment, ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Work efficiently and professionally to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Follow all company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures at all times.
  • Assist with additional workshop duties as required, including drilling, preparation and painting of steelwork
