What You’ll Be Doing
- Shape the organisation's view of global steel markets, covering supply, demand, capacity, pricing, trade flows, raw materials and structural trends.
- Translate complex market developments into clear recommendations that inform commercial strategy, opportunities and risk.
- Influence senior customer discussions by providing credible industry perspectives and insight into changing market dynamics.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities across the steel value chain, collaborating with commercial, strategy and market intelligence teams.
What You’ll Bring
- Deep steel industry experience, likely built over 8-12+ years within a producer, mill, trader, service centre, raw materials business, market intelligence provider or related industrial organisation.
- Strong commercial understanding of the steel value chain, including market fundamentals, pricing, supply and demand, trade flows and major participants.
- Established credibility with senior stakeholders and the ability to form and communicate well-supported views on complex industry developments.
- Commercially minded perspective, connecting market intelligence with customer priorities, strategic decisions, risks and opportunities.
