STEM Open Day
Norton Rose Fulbright LLP is proud to announce details of our STEM Open Day, an insight event designed for undergraduates and recent graduates from STEM backgrounds who are interested in exploring a career in commercial law. Taking place on Wednesday 25 November, the programme is aimed at students studying Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects who want to learn more about the legal profession and how their analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills can be applied within a global law firm.
The day will provide a unique opportunity to gain insight into commercial law, hear from lawyers across the firm, and explore the increasingly important role that technology, innovation, and data play in the legal sector. Through a combination of workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, attendees will develop their understanding of both the legal profession and the diverse opportunities available at Norton Rose Fulbright.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
