Position: STEM Teacher Trainer – APAC

Location: London, UK / Remote
Market: Asia-Pacific (India, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, etc.)

About the Role

Teachifyy is looking for an experienced STEM Teacher Trainer based in London to lead professional development and training programmes for teachers, schools, and education organisations across the Asia-Pacific region.

The role is ideal for an experienced STEM educator who understands both high-quality teaching practice and international education environments, and who can translate UK/global best practices into practical, engaging training for teachers across APAC.

You will design and deliver workshops covering areas such as STEM pedagogy, inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, AI in education, digital tools, curriculum design, assessment, and 21st-century skills.

The role will involve working with teachers, school leaders, and education partners across different countries and cultural contexts.

Key Responsibilities

1. STEM Teacher Training

  • Deliver engaging professional development programmes for primary and secondary STEM teachers.
  • Conduct online and face-to-face workshops across APAC.
  • Train teachers in modern STEM teaching methodologies and classroom practice.
  • Facilitate practical activities, demonstrations, and collaborative learning.
  • Help teachers translate training into practical classroom implementation.

2. Training Programme Development

  • Design and adapt STEM CPD programmes for different countries, age groups, and school contexts.
  • Develop training materials, presentations, activities, lesson resources, and teacher guides.
  • Incorporate emerging areas such as AI, EdTech, coding, robotics, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary STEM.
  • Continuously improve programmes based on teacher feedback and outcomes.

3. School & Leadership Engagement

  • Work directly with school principals, academic heads, STEM coordinators, and education organisations.
  • Understand each school's professional development needs.
  • Recommend appropriate teacher-training programmes.
  • Support the development of long-term school CPD partnerships.

4. APAC Delivery

  • Deliver programmes to educators across countries including India, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
  • Adapt communication and training approaches to different cultural and educational environments.
  • Travel internationally when required.

5. Evaluation & Impact

  • Collect participant feedback and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Produce post-training reports and recommendations.
  • Track teacher engagement and implementation of new practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Teachifyy's CPD portfolio.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with:

  • 5+ years of experience in STEM education, teaching, or teacher development.
  • Strong experience teaching Science, Mathematics, Computing, Engineering, or related STEM disciplines.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering teacher training / CPD / professional development.
  • Experience working with adult learners and education professionals.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of modern STEM pedagogy.
  • Experience with project-based, inquiry-based, or experiential learning.
  • Confidence using technology and digital teaching tools.
  • Ability to create engaging presentations, workshops, and learning resources.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • International or multicultural education experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with schools in Asia-Pacific markets is an advantage.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM-related subject, Education, or a relevant discipline.
  • Recognised teaching qualification where applicable.
  • Demonstrable classroom and/or teacher-training experience.

Desirable

  • PGCE, QTS, Master's in Education or STEM-related qualification.
  • Teacher-trainer / instructional-coaching qualification.
  • Experience with international curricula such as British, IB, Cambridge, CBSE, or similar.
  • Experience with AI, coding, robotics, or educational technology.
