Step-up to Secretarial Manager
An exciting opportunity to step-up into a rewarding Secretarial Manager role, leading and supporting a diverse team of approximately 30 Legal EAs, PAs and Juniors at a fast-paced London law firm housed in a sought after City location.
What’s On Offer:
- Salary to £60,000 + generous employee benefits
- Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote)
- City of London / Liverpool Street location
Step-up to Secretarial Manager – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage day-to-day attendance, flexible working and wellbeing matters, liaising with HR as required
- Partner with HR on employee relations, including performance, conduct, disciplinary and grievance matters
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality legal support services across the firm
- Manage team structures, allocations and support models across practice groups
- Oversee annual leave, overtime, expenses and other team administration in line with firm policies
- Identify team development needs through performance reviews, feedback and business requirements
- Lead training and development initiatives to build capability and support business objectives
- Provide coaching, mentoring and career development support
- Monitor team capacity, utilisation and workload, providing recommendations for effective resource allocation and workforce planning

- 2-3 years’ proven management or supervisory experience gained within a law firm
- Solid understanding of the Legal EA / PA population and fee earner / business needs
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build inclusive, high performing teams and foster a collaborative working environment
- Highly organised with strong planning, prioritisation and attention to detail
- Flexible and prepared to work additional hours to meet client needs
