Description
We're looking for an experienced Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) to join our Christchurch team. Working alongside a dedicated crew, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, efficient traffic management solutions across a range of civil construction, maintenance, and infrastructure projects.
This is an opportunity to lead from the front, mentor traffic management crews, and contribute to the successful delivery of projects that keep our communities connected and safe.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting Traffic Controllers and traffic management crews
- Implementing and monitoring Temporary Traffic Management Plans (TTMPs)
- Ensuring compliance with all traffic management and safety requirements
- Monitoring traffic flows and adjusting site operations as required
- Conducting site inspections and audits to ensure safe and efficient traffic management
- Managing traffic management documentation and reporting requirements
- Liaising with clients, contractors, supervisors, and local authorities
- Providing guidance, training, and support to Traffic Controllers
- Promoting a strong health and safety culture across all sites
- Supporting the delivery of projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Assisting with planning and coordination of traffic management activities

What You'll Bring To The Role
- A safety-first attitude for yourself, your team, and the public
- Full clean New Zealand Driver Licence (minimum Class 1, Class 2 desirable)
- Current STMS Qualification with Category A and B Practising
- Proven experience in the traffic management industry
- Previous experience mentoring and supervising crews
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Reliability, honesty, and flexibility
- A high level of physical fitness due to the nature of the role
