Stock & Administration Manager – Greendale Storage (Greendale Business Park, Exeter)

Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 (dependent on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30

Holiday Entitlement: 25 days holiday + bank holidays

Greendale Storage Ltd is part of the well-established Greendale Group, a diverse South West business spanning logistics, farming, retail, and marine operations. Based at Greendale Business Park near Exeter, we provide high-quality pallet storage, distribution, and logistics solutions for a growing portfolio of customers.

As our operation continues to grow, we are strengthening leadership within stock control and administration to support a fully integrated 24/5 operation.

The Opportunity

This is a business-critical leadership role suited to an experienced professional with a background in fast-paced, multi-shift warehouse or distribution environments.

You will be responsible for ensuring stock integrity, system accuracy, and seamless administrative performance across a 24-hour function, while leading teams and driving continuous improvement across processes.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Control & Governance

  • Take full ownership of stock integrity across WMS and SAP systems
  • Ensure real-time accuracy of all stock transactions
  • Oversee stock movements, cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution

Administration Management

  • Lead and manage the warehouse administration function across all shifts
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all operational documentation
  • Implement and maintain structured handovers between shifts

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop stock controllers and administrators
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and high performance

Operational Integration

  • Work closely with warehouse operations to align physical and system stock accuracy
  • Support overall distribution efficiency and service delivery

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, and hauliers

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify, implement, and drive process and workflow improvements
  • Use KPIs and reporting to enhance performance and decision-making
  • Drive a culture of ongoing operational improvement

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and safe working practices

About You

  • Proven experience in stock control, warehouse administration, or logistics leadership
  • Background in a 24/5 or multi-shift environment
  • Strong systems knowledge (ideally WMS and/or SAP)
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and develop teams
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Experience managing multi-shift admin teams
  • Warehouse operations knowledge
  • FLT or scissor lift experience
