Kepak is a global food company serving international retailers and food service household names with prime cuts of meat, on-trend food concepts and ready-for-market convenience foods.

Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers' counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

We are currently recruiting for a Stock Checker and Administrator to work in our busy Logistics department here at Kepak Merthyr Tydfil.

Job Overview

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8.00am to 4.00pm, Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm with a competitive salary.

Role Purpose

To ensure stock system reflects physical stock by carrying out stock takes. You will need to take responsibility for your work, ensuring accurate recording and sharing information. Being a team player is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working to a daily and weekly schedule in the fresh and frozen departments (-25 ℃)
  • Scanning items and assigning them to different sections
  • Reviewing various reports and seeking missing stock items
  • Completing relevant paperwork
  • Booking and confirming incoming deliveries
  • Recording all outgoing despatches
  • Setting up orders
  • Sharing reports
  • Monitoring all customer returns, liaising with Finance, Transport and Intakes
  • Sending picklists to the Coldstore
  • Carrying out customer ordering when required
