Take ownership of stock accuracy, compliance and inventory governance
Role Overview
Play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, traceability and compliance of stock across the business.
As our Stock Control & End Use Controller, you'll work across Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality and Business Systems to maintain robust stock governance, support End Use Tax compliance and drive continuous improvement in inventory management. This is a highly visible role where your attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to influence others will directly support operational performance, financial control and audit readiness.
Operating on a 4 on, 4 off 12-hour shift pattern, you'll spend most of your time office-based while also working closely with warehouse and production teams to support investigations, reconciliations and stock control activities.
Key Duties
- Maintain accurate stock records and full traceability across production, warehousing and dispatch.
- Investigate stock discrepancies, lead reconciliations and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate stock takes, cycle counts and reconciliation activities across internal and third-party locations.
- Lead End Use Tax compliance activities, ensuring accurate records and audit readiness.
- Produce stock reports, KPI analysis and reconciliations to support operational and financial decision-making.
- Maintain stock-related master data and support month-end and year-end inventory processes.
- Develop and improve stock control procedures to drive consistency, compliance and best practice.
- Support and coach operational teams on stock accuracy, traceability and compliance requirements.

Ideal Candidate
- An experienced Stock Controller, Inventory Controller, Stock Analyst or similar professional with a strong understanding of stock management processes.
- Highly analytical, with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Confident interpreting data and identifying opportunities to improve stock accuracy and process performance.
- A strong communicator who can build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Organised and accountable, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Experienced using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyse inventory data.
- Familiar with manufacturing, FMCG, food production or logistics environments.
- Knowledgeable in audit, compliance or inventory governance activities, with End Use Tax or HMRC experience considered beneficial.
