Description

We're looking for an organised and detail-focused Stock & Compliance Manager to join our retail team. This is a varied and important role where you'll help keep the branch running smoothly by maintaining accurate stock records, supporting operational processes and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. About The Role

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time
Hours of Work: 42.5 Hours per week

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the branch. You'll oversee stock administration and compliance activities, work closely with colleagues across the business, and help create a safe, efficient and customer-focused environment. You'll also develop a broad understanding of store operations and provide duty management support when required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting stock file integrity
  • Coordinating goods inward processes and stock administration activities.
  • Planning and supporting stock takes, including investigating discrepancies.
  • Monitoring stock performance, damages and slow-moving stock to support stock efficiency.
  • Managing supplier deliveries, outstanding orders and stock-related communication.
  • Supporting compliance with company procedures, audit requirements and industry regulations.
  • Working closely with the Safety & Wellbeing team to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Maintaining accurate compliance records, training data and operational reporting.
  • Building positive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting the wider management team and providing duty management cover when required.

About You

  • Experience within stock control, stock administration or inventory management.
  • Experience of maintaining accurate records and using stock management systems.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements within a retail or operational environment.
  • Previous supervisory or duty management experience would be beneficial.
