Help drive warehouse performance by ensuring stock accuracy, maintaining inventory integrity, and providing the information teams need to deliver outstanding service to customers.
Role Overview
As a Stock Controller, you'll play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory across our warehouse operation. Working closely with Warehouse, Planning, and Finance teams, you'll ensure stock records remain accurate, discrepancies are resolved efficiently, and warehouse systems reflect real-time inventory positions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys analytical problem-solving and making a direct impact on operational performance.
Key Duties
- Conduct regular cycle counts and support stock take activities to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Reconcile physical stock with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and SAP records.
- Maintain accurate batch, lot, and date control to support traceability and compliance.
- Monitor inbound and outbound stock transactions, ensuring goods are booked in and allocated correctly.
- Manage stock transfers, adjustments, quarantine stock, damaged stock, and returns processes.
- Maintain accurate inventory data and ensure all stock adjustments are authorised and documented appropriately.
- Produce stock accuracy, variance, and inventory performance reports.
- Analyse stock variances, identify root causes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor stock losses, damages, and process compliance, escalating recurring issues where required.
- Support operational and planning teams with accurate stock availability information.
- Assist warehouse operations during peak periods and contribute to the smooth running of the site.
- Support internal audits and compliance activities across the warehouse operation.

Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience within a stock control, inventory management, warehouse administration, or logistics environment.
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), SAP, or comparable inventory management systems.
- Strong Excel, spreadsheet, and data analysis skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining stock accuracy.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and investigate discrepancies.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control processes, and inventory management principles.
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicating and building relationships with colleagues across multiple departments.
- A proactive, reliable, and accountable approach with a right-first-time mindset.
- Knowledge of warehouse KPIs and performance measurement would be advantageous.
