Love keeping things organised, spotting discrepancies and getting to the bottom of a problem?
We’re looking for a Stock Control Administrator to join our team at the HSL Distribution Centre in Gildersome.
This is a varied role for someone who is naturally organised, great with detail and enjoys making sure everything is exactly where it should be.
Working closely with our Stock Manager and teams across Warehouse, Returns, Logistics, Customer Service and Retail, you’ll help us maintain accurate stock records and ensure stock moves smoothly throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately receiving and booking stock onto our warehouse management system
- Processing stock transfers between our warehouses, showrooms and other locations
- Monitoring stock records and investigating any discrepancies
- Supporting stock takes, inventory audits and carrying out spot checks
- Processing customer and supplier returns and keeping accurate records
- Producing stock and returns reports and highlighting any outstanding issues
- Working with our Warehouse, Customer Service and Retail teams to resolve stock and returns queries
- Monitoring outstanding stock transactions and helping identify potential problems
- Visiting showrooms, retail locations and third-party storage sites when required to check physical stock against our system records
- Helping investigate stock variances and identifying ways we can improve our processes and overall stock accuracy.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is methodical, inquisitive and exceptionally organised. You’ll be comfortable working independently but equally happy building relationships with people across different departments.
You’ll ideally have:
- Excellent attention to detail and a real focus on accuracy
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Strong organisation and time-management skills
- Experience using a stock management, warehouse management or ERP system
- Good Microsoft Excel and reporting skills
- Confidence communicating and working with colleagues across different areas of a business
- The ability to investigate issues rather than simply identify them
- A positive approach to improving processes and finding better ways of working
- A full UK driving licence, which is essential as the position involves occasional visits to other HSL locations.
