Job Overview

About The Role

In a fast-moving logistics environment, accuracy isn’t just a benefit, it’s a necessity. As a Stock Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our stock, supporting smooth operations across the warehouse, and acting as a key point of control for goods in, inventory accuracy, and reporting.

This is a role for someone who thrives in a structured, data-driven environment, yet is adaptable when things shift because in warehousing, they often do.

No two days are the same in this fast-paced role. You’ll manage a variety of processes, and help improve how we work to ensure consistent, work practices. If you’re ready to get stuck in and make an impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Contract: Full time permanent contract
Hours: 40.25 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off rotational shift pattern
Working Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Ensure all inbound documentation aligns with system entries, accurately assigning trailers to the appropriate bays. Promptly identify, report, and action any discrepancies in a timely manner, maintaining operational flow in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Manage inbound shipments via the Goods In Dashboard, processing items from JIT, KLS, 3rd Party, and Bulk suppliers, while escalating any discrepancies to Customer Service, Finance, and Returns.
  • Conduct inventory investigations using the Warehouse Management System (GEAC) to resolve physical/system stock discrepancies including negative balances, order errors, and missing or excess stock, among other inventory-related anomalies that may arise.
  • Generate and manage inventory reports, ensuring they are completed on schedule, prioritised effectively during busy periods, and maintained to a high standard of accuracy.
  • Handle 3rd Party product-specific processes, including inbound management, investigations, and reporting, according to internal protocols.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
