About the Role

As a Stock Controller in our Service Centre, you will oversee and control the end-to-end journey of spare parts and consumables, ensuring sufficient stock levels are kept. This will include accurate and timely verification of all deliveries, and thorough quality control, to ensure the right produce is in the right place at the right time.

Within the role, you will be responsible for the ordering of all spare parts and consumables to be used within the workshop. You will maintain stock levels to ensure there are no delays to services due to timepieces awaiting parts. As a Stock Controller, you will schedule and lead stocktakes as required, coordinating all communication with Inventory and Audit teams and compliance variance reports. You will investigate and resolve all stock-related discrepancies, and ensure security procedures are followed at all times to prevent stock loss. The role includes completely weekly reviews of negatives and invalids, actioning any relevant investigations and system moves, and escalating to Team Manager as appropriate.

The role will also include:

  • Raising of Purchase Orders
  • Allocation of spare parts to job cards
  • Train colleagues on ordering processes, and stock management software as necessary.
  • Support the management team with continued best practice across the Rolex delivery standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound stock movements with business stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
