Salary: Grade 3 (£25,185 to £25,583)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Location: Based at SFRS Headquarters, Pirehill, Stone, Staffs, ST15 0BS
Contract: Permanent/Part-time

About The Opportunity
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Stock Controller to join our Supplies Department. In this vital role, you’ll help manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring essential supplies are available when needed. You’ll also provide administrative support across the department and play a key part in maintaining accurate stock and PPE records.
Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic and evolving role, you will:
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the department, following established procedures.
- Receive, check, record, and store incoming goods.
- Issue stock items and PPE to staff, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Prepare and deliver goods to various sites as required.
- Maintain stock areas and ensure items are stored safely and appropriately.
- Update and maintain electronic stock control and PPE systems.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and supplier enquiries.
- Support with any other duties aligned to the role.

About You
We’re seeking proactive and flexible...
Essential Criteria
- A good general education and experience in stock control or warehousing.
- Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- Experience using electronic stock control systems.
- A clean, current full UK driving licence.
- Basic knowledge of PPE fitting
Desirable
- Knowledge of Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service procurement and stock control procedures.
- Advanced understanding of stock control systems.
Hours and Working Pattern
Core hours: 8:00 – 16:00 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
