Job Description
Our technology team is actively seeking a Stock Flow Planner to support the Primark is implementing a new Smart Retail Ordering (SRO) capability to transform how forecasting, replenishment and stock decisions are managed across depots and stores, acting as a stock flow and replenishment expert to analyse and challenge system-generated recommendations, support the Phase 1 pilot, and work across Retail, Buying & Merchandising, Planning & Space, Supply Chain, Data Science and Product teams to help shape Primark’s future replenishment processes.
What You’ll Do as Stock Flow Planner
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
- Own stock flow and replenishment activity across products, stores and workflows, ensuring effective execution of the replenishment process throughout the Phase 1 pilot.
- Review and analyse replenishment outputs, identifying risks, exceptions and areas requiring investigation or intervention.
- Apply operational, trading and store insight to challenge and validate system-generated replenishment recommendations and determine appropriate actions.
- Collaborate across Retail, Buying & Merchandising, Planning & Space, Supply Chain, Data Science, Product and vendor teams to resolve stock flow issues and ensure decisions balance availability, trading needs and operational requirements.
- Represent the replenishment and stock flow function in solution design, testing, training and process validation, helping shape future workflows, governance, decision-making and escalation processes.
- Develop deep SRO expertise and capture Phase 1 learnings, recommending improvements and supporting user readiness, adoption and the wider rollout of the future replenishment capability.

Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
- Experience in allocation, replenishment, merchandising, planning, supply chain or retail operations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret stock and performance data, identify trends and turn insights into clear actions.
- Good commercial and operational judgement, understanding the impact of replenishment decisions on availability, stock levels, store operations and trading performance.
- Experience investigating stock or operational issues, identifying root causes and recommending solutions.
- Confidence to challenge system recommendations, solve problems and influence stakeholders across business and technical teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and communicate effectively; experience with replenishment/allocation systems, retail transformation or technology implementation is an advantage.
