The Opportunity

We’re seeking a proactive Stock & Inventory Controller to join our Bellshill team on a fixed term basis until October 2027.

You will be responsible for planning and managing finished goods replenishment across the Branded Business Unit, hubs, and inventory locations as well as managing order-to-despatch process for ODCs. You’ll maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer service and coverage targets while balancing working capital, using DRP software (OMP) to position inventory correctly and IFS10 to manage the order-to-despatch process.

What you’ll be doing

  • Oversee the replenishment of finished goods, ensuring hub and inventory locations are kept at agreed stock levels. Balance inventory optimisation with meeting customer service expectations.
  • Utilise Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP) tools such as OMP to action system recommendations, positioning stock in the right place at the right time.
  • Manage the full order-to-despatch process within IFS10 to support DRP activities.
  • Coordinate export shipments and work closely with Freight Forwarders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare and manage export documentation, including customs and shipping paperwork.
  • Anticipate and address supply risks, responding quickly to shifts in demand to safeguard continuity of supply for customers.
  • Support the launch of new products by coordinating with Demand Planning, Customer Service, NPD, and supply chain teams.
  • Work closely with warehouse partners and PLM to investigate root causes, reconcile inventory monthly, and ensure all purchase orders are closed by month end.
  • Administer distribution orders to consignment sites, including load planning, containerisation, preparation of shipping documents, and liaising with 3PL providers to resolve daily escalations.
  • Produce monthly stock reports covering inventory levels, coverage, and analysis of slow-moving or obsolete items to drive KPI improvements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
